About Riga
Where is Riga? Riga is the Latvian capital, the largest city in the Baltic States and the third largest in the Baltic region behind Stockholm and St Petersburg with a population of around 705,500. Needless to say, it is also the major commercial, industrial, cultural and financial centre in Latvia.
For 1stopJamboree Riga is city which we can only get excited about. The architecture is a wonderful blend of old and new, with the remarkable colours and atmosphere of the picturesque Old Town easily seducing even the most phlegmatic of visitors.
In terms of excitement, we can only ask how fast you want your pulse to go. How many places have you been where a lazy morning can be spent relaxing on a river cruise before visiting a shooting gallery, semi automatic in hand all locked and loaded? In terms of entertainment Riga is indeed an extremely diverse and rewarding city.
By night this vibrant multi-cultural metropolis comes alive and the pleasing blend of local and international party goers who descend on the many bars and clubs all have one thing in common… drinking, dancing and having fun!!
