About Budapest
Where is Budapest? Budapest is in central Europe and is the capital city of Hungary. It is the country’s main political, cultural and industrial city. And with a population of around 1.77 million people, a history that dates back to the 9th century, Budapest is a city that ticks all the boxes for a short break.
Often called “Little Paris” and is described as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, Budapest is full of historical wonders and World Heritage Sites. Separated by the Danube River, the city has two very different and distinctive halves – Buda and Pest. It hard to find the right words for a city with such a magical atmosphere and truth be told, if the city doesn’t seduce you, then the people will as they are some of the most amazing looking people on the planet…
From a Jamboree standpoint, Budapest has massive potential with its extensive array of extreme and leisure activities and there are enough city tours and day excursions to keep any cultural seeker happy. For nightlife, little needs to be said for a city with legendary statures, as there is an abundance of quality bars, clubs and restaurants.
