“For me, it’s very much like London, but more liberal” David Fallen – Jamboree
About Amsterdam
Where is Amsterdam? Amsterdam is Holland on the western coast of the Netherlands. During the 12th century, Amsterdam was a fishing village, and today, it is the commercial capital of the Netherlands, houses the oldest stock exchange in the world and is considered an alpha World city by the GaWC – Globalization and World Cities (GaWC) study group.
As a city, Amsterdam is one of the most diverse and difficult cities to describe, there is so much to do, and see within the city and surrounding areas, and whilst the reasons for visiting Amsterdam may vary extremely, the essence of the city we all feel remains the same.
Of course Amsterdam is well known of the city’s liberal thinking with regards to cannabis and prostitution, but when we moved this to one side we still have a city that is visually a photographers dream. The city is beautiful. The canals of Amsterdam are on the UNESCO World Heritage List and each district has it’s own character, it’s own personality and yet, when we did deeper, we find so many little hidden gems.
From a Jamboree prospective, this city offers such a unique array of activities that it’s hard not to keep everyone happy so whether it be could be corporate, friends, stag or hen group, there are more than enough extreme, leisure and tour activities to fill everyone pallet, whilst the night life… some cities need no introductions to afterhours activities.
