“Tallinn. one of the most exciting Jamboree destinations to date.”
About Tallinn
Where is Tallinn? Tallinn is in Estonia in the North East of Europe. It’s not only the Capital of Estonia, but the financial, commercial and cultural centre of the country. Tallinn has a population of around 500’000 people, and although this number could be consider relatively small when compared to other European capital cities, this is the only area Tallinn is lacking in, if a low population is seen as a disadvantage. Tallinn’s Old Town has been added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in part because of it’s beauty, and the 2011 European Capital of culture is also listed amongst the top 10 digital cities in the world. So maybe size doesn’t matter, and it is what you do with it that counts.
Tallinn is a city that one simply can’t help but fall in love with, and it’s because of this that many visitors will often return and indeed bring their friends with them. Whether it’s the architecture, the landscapes, the picturesque rivers or indeed the beautiful people that catches ones eye, one thing for sure, you could spend an entire afternoon in Tallinn just simply relaxing and watching.
From a Jamboree prospective, Tallinn is mega. There are many extreme and leisure activities that are just not possible in other European cities, albeit land or sea, the list is very impressive. The city has all the business accruement to welcome both corporate and large groups. Stag and Hen groups have been descending on Estonia shores for some time, and the city has embraced this form of tourism and invested in a nightlife which is arguably one of the best in Europe.
